The
story:
At
the end of the 21st century the earth was invaded by a horde
of mutant spider-crabs under the control of the venomoid
warlord, Darkon. Purpose of the Alien invasion is to expand
the Cosmos Region and capture as many humans as they can
and turn them (using a transformation system called the
teknopod) into super bio-weapons called tekkamen. The first
group of people to be captured is a family of space explorers.
Member of the family is a young man named Nick Carter also
known as Blade in the series. While the entire family is
transformed to evil tekkamen ready to serve their master
Darkon, Blade manages to escape the teknopod and the transformation
phase with the help of his father. As result Blade acquires
the Alien technology called the teknosystem, at the same
time he manages to keep his human feelings. Using his newly
obtained powers, Blade struggles to reach the earth and
warn the humans for the upcoming Alien invasion. There he
meets the Space Knights, a special tast force led by the
Commander Jamison. An aliance is built between Tekkaman
Blade and the Space Knights and the battle against the Alien
venomoids begins.

| Teknosystem: |
| The
teknoman bio armor is more like a living organism than a mechanical
suit. It was developed by the Aliens as a weapon to use against
their enemies. The suit uses the bio energy of the wearer,
existing in symbiosis with him/her. The wearer has the ability
to repair the suit if damaged in battle, using bio energy.
The bio energy however is drained slowly from the wearer as
they use the armour. This is actually Blade's weakest point
when using the tekno mode, since his transformation wasnt
complete he can only use his tekno mode for 30 minutes. Exceeding
this time limit will have as result the loss of his human
feelings and nature turning him to one of the venomoids. The
strongest weapon on the tekno armour is the voltekker. A super
powerful bio energy beam. The voltekker gets activated with
the voice of the wearer and it has the power to turn any kind
of material to dust. The tekno armour is called into being
and later sent away by using the "teknocrystal"
or change crystal - usually a four-pointed crystal that fits
the hand. It is normally absorbed into the body when not in
use. At some point in the series, Blade's crystal gets shattered
and he's unable to use the tekno armour. That's when the teknobot
Pegasus comes to the picture. Pegasus is a robot made by the
mechanics of the Space Knights. It carries an internal chamber
where Blade can transform to tekkaman. The shattered crystal
is attached on the teknobot and all the missing data required
for the transformation are given to the crystal via a small
circuit. |
| Synopsis: |
| Definately
the best anime I ever watched. It was also the first anime
that got my attention and to be honest, Tekkaman Blade was
the reason I got into japanese animation and comics back in
1996. I was simply amazed when I saw Blade's transformation
for the first time. Seems that the artists used the style
of the medieval knight armour when designed the characters.
They're outstanding by all means. The first series includes
45 episodes. I have 39 of them in .rm format (around 30mb
each episode). If anyone's interested contact me for details
on how to get the episodes. |
